Helping Hand To Volunteer Project
Overview
Welcome to the Helping Hand to Volunteer Project page! This project is funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) as well as the National Lottery Community Fund. The project, led by the Gwynedd Volunteer Centre, is dedicated to supporting individuals and empowering communities by connecting passionate volunteers with opportunities to make a meaningful difference.
The main aim of the scheme is to provide one-to-one support for individuals who have additional support needs and who may benefit from help to volunteer. This support is an extension of our existing brokerage service, where our dedicated officers support individuals throughout the volunteering process: matching them with suitable placements, helping them to complete registration forms, attending site visits, and, above all, offering a helping hand throughout their volunteering journey.
Projct Objectives
The aims of the Helping Hand to Volunteer Project are to:
- Inspire individuals with additional support needs to volunteer by showcasing the wide range of opportunities available.
- Support local organisations by matching them with dedicated volunteers.
- Enhance the personal and professional development of volunteers by providing guidance, training, and mentoring.
Our vision is to create a vibrant volunteering culture that enriches lives and builds stronger, more resilient communities.
